Oma's Walnut Cake 
        Walnusstorte
        Ingredients:
        4 eggs separated
        1 cup sugar….1/2 goes in egg whites and ½ in the yolks
        1 cup plain bread crumbs
        1 tsp. Baking powder
        1 cup chopped walnuts…chopped fine...plus a little to garnish top of cake
        
        Directions: 
          
        1.Preheat Oven to 375 Grease and line with parchment paper/or wax paper 2 round cake pans.
        2. Beat egg whiles at high speed adding 1/2 cup of sugar gradually until soft peaks form. Set aside
          Beat egg yolks adding 1/2 cup sugar gradually at low speed.
          Add bread crumbs, baking powder and nuts to yolk mixture.
          Fold in egg whites. Turn into lined pans.
          Bake 20 minutes until done. Cool… remove from pans and remove parchment or wax paper. Cool.
        Chocolate filling
          1 tub of whipped sweet cream butter
          Nestle chocolate milk mix 1 tsp at a time to taste
          1 tsp vanilla
          Mix well and add chocolate mix to taste
        1 pint heavy ceam 
          1 tsp vanilla extract 
        
        Ice Center of cake with chocolate icing
          place top of cake on.
          Ice rest of cake with fresh whipped cream. (1 pint of heavy cream, 1 tsp vanilla, a little sugar to taste)
        Garnish with walnuts, whole or some of the finely chopped walnuts
