German Raw Apple Cake
Circa 1909. 2 cups sugar Mix all ingredients. The batter should be very thick. Pour into a 9" x 13" baking pan that has been greased and floured.* Bake in a preheated 350º F., oven for 35 minutes. Frost with cream cheese icing, if desired. Yield: 12 servings. I prefer to sugar the pan instead of using flour.
