Ingredients:
Rst Beef or Steak ( about 1/2 lb)
Potatoes cooked (about 2-3 cups)
1/2 cup chopped Onions
1 tablespoon Black Pepper
1 Egg
1/2 cup Dill Pickles chopped
(optional)
Oil for Frying:
2 tablespoons
Oil
2 tablespoons Butter for Frying
(This depends on how much you make)
Directions:
1. This is a very flexible recipe using what you have on hand. The measurements are not totally important, if your using all cooked potatoes you probably don't need some flour or oatmeal to hold it together.
2. You can test it out and make a patty and see how it holds together.
3. I really like pickles so I add about 1/2 a cup of chopped to the mix.
4. Make small patties and fry them in oil and butter.
5. Brown on the first side, turn and brown the other side, then they will be done.
6. In America we would serve these likely with tomato catsup. However, like in Germany, mustard, horseradish or even Curry Catsup would be a good choice. |
